Nancy and Warwick Tompkins voyaging aboard their Wylie 39 FLASHGIRL - what she is, where she has gone, and where she is going . . .

FLASHGIRL is an 18 year old Wylie design modified for double-handed long distance voyaging. Her hull was moulded by Westerly Marine, then finished by the Tompkins in a 12 year project. The boat incorporates many novel features to enhance sailing and living in her.

Nancy Tompkins, mother of three grown children, has left a busy carreer as an accountant and business manager. Warwick Tompkins will be continuing a life devoted to sailing in the sea, now more narrowly focused on voyaging and operation of his own vessel.

From time to time they will return to their residence in Northern California.
